Workers' Centers serve as an alternative to the chaotic dynamics of street corner day laborer hiring sites. Structured job allocation and contracting systems streamline the hiring process making employer-worker transactions clearer, more efficient, and more productive.
• Workers organize themselves by skill and trade ensuring the level of experience needed for the job
• A site coordinator is available to translate Spanish and English
• With an indoor site, weather no longer determines whether workers will be available for work.
• A Center provides an official space for day laborers and employers which is organized, reliable, free of charge, safe, clean, drug and alcohol free, and violence free.
• Employers' satisfaction motivate workers to improve skills and services in order to continue providing great service.
